📊 StockCalc

Data Sources

What data StockCalc uses, what it does not provide, and how you should verify figures before acting on them.

Calculators: your inputs drive the results

The core of StockCalc is a library of free investment and stock calculators. In almost every case, you enter the numbers (price, earnings, shares, rates, cash flows, and so on). The tool applies a standard formula in your browser and shows the result.

We do not stream live quotes into calculator forms. We do not guarantee that a figure you copy from another website is still current when you paste it here. For trading or tax decisions, confirm inputs with your broker, issuer filings, or another source you trust.

See Methodology for how formulas are chosen and what each tool can and cannot tell you.

Stock overview pages (/stock/*)

Some pages under /stock/ display programmatic summaries (for example ticker hubs or metric views). These are reference layouts, not a live market data product.

  • Figures may be delayed, incomplete, or shown as "N/A" when underlying data is missing.
  • We do not promise real-time prices, intraday updates, or exchange-official timestamps on these pages.
  • As of our AdSense content-quality work (June 2026), these URLs are excluded from search engine indexing so crawlers focus on calculators and educational guides instead of thin stock templates.

If you need authoritative market data, use your broker, the exchange, or a licensed data vendor—not StockCalc stock pages.

Blog, glossary, and guides

Educational articles and glossary entries explain concepts and walk through formulas. They may cite public definitions, textbooks, or general market facts. Unless a page explicitly states otherwise, blog content is not a live news wire and is not personalized advice.

Our Editorial Policy describes how topics are chosen and reviewed.

What we do not claim

  • Real-time or "updated every second" market feeds across the site
  • Guaranteed accuracy of third-party numbers you enter or that appear on stock templates
  • Coverage of every ticker, metric, or corporate action
  • Investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice

Your responsibility

Before relying on any output, independently verify inputs and assumptions. For important decisions, consult qualified professionals. See also our Disclaimer.
